Durant Bike Rodeo Rolls Into Durant May 16 with Free Family Fun, Safety Courses, and Bike Giveaways
Families across Bryan County are invited to grab their helmets and head to the Durant Bike Rodeo on Saturday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at AllianceHealth Durant, located at 1800 University Blvd.
Designed to combine fun with bicycle safety education, the Durant Bike Rodeo will offer young riders a hands-on experience focused on riding smart, building confidence, and learning important bicycle safety skills in an exciting and engaging environment.
The free community event will feature:
Bicycle safety and skills courses
Helmet and bicycle fittings
Refreshments, prizes, and giveaways
A chance to win free bikes for participants who complete the Bike Rodeo course
Parents and guardians are encouraged to attend alongside their children as riders navigate the safety course and participate in the day’s activities.
The event is presented by the Durant Sustainability Coalition and Durant Trails & Open Space (DTOS), with support from community partners including AllianceHealth Durant, Rotary Club of Durant, Bike Oklahoma, and SERTPO.
Organizers say the goal of the event is to encourage healthy outdoor activity while helping children learn the importance of bicycle safety in a positive and memorable way.
“This is a great opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a fun day outdoors, and help young riders develop safe cycling habits they can carry with them for life,” organizers shared.
The Durant Bike Rodeo is free and open to all youth riders in the area.
